Frequently asked questions
Answers to the most common questions we get about our glazing services. If you have a question not covered here, get in touch and we will be happy to help.
How much does double glazing cost?
Prices depend on the size, style, and material of each unit. We offer free no-obligation quotes so you know exactly what to expect before any work begins. As a local company without call-centre overheads we keep our prices competitive.
Do you supply and fit, or supply only?
Both. We manufacture sealed units in our own workshop at Narcot Lane and our fitters install them. If you only need glass supplied we are happy to help with that too.
What areas do you cover?
We are based in Chalfont Saint Giles and serve everywhere within roughly five miles: Chalfont St Peter, Amersham, Little Chalfont, Gerrards Cross, Beaconsfield, Seer Green, Jordans, Chesham, Chorleywood, Penn, Great Missenden, and Denham.
Are you FENSA registered?
Yes. We are registered with FENSA which means our installations are self-certified to comply with building regulations. You receive a FENSA certificate for every window or door installation.
What is the difference between double and triple glazing?
Double glazing has two panes of glass with a gas-filled gap between them. Triple glazing adds a third pane for even better thermal efficiency and sound insulation. Triple glazing is ideal for noisy roads or north-facing rooms where heat loss is higher.
How long does a window installation take?
A standard window replacement usually takes two to three hours per opening. A full-house refit of eight to ten windows can typically be completed in two to three days. We always confirm a timeline before starting work.
Do you do emergency glazing repairs?
We can often help with urgent repairs such as smashed glass or failed sealed units. Call us on 07546 136680 and we will do our best to get to you as quickly as possible.
What materials do you offer for windows?
We fit UPVC, aluminium, and timber windows. UPVC is the most popular for its low maintenance and value. Aluminium gives slimmer sightlines and a contemporary look. Timber suits heritage properties and conservation areas.
Can you match the style of my existing windows?
Yes. We offer casement, sash, tilt-and-turn, flush casement, and French windows in a wide range of colours and woodgrain foils. If your property is in a conservation area we can produce sympathetic designs that meet planning requirements.
Do you offer finance or payment plans?
Please ask us about payment options when we provide your quote. We are happy to discuss what works best for your budget.
